The VP, Equipment Regional Sales Manager - Northeast position is focused on expanding equipment finance solutions through strategic sales development and relationship management across an assigned region. Key responsibilities include:
- Driving business growth by originating equipment finance opportunities, managing borrower relationships, and supporting successful transaction execution.
- Developing and executing a regional business development strategy to establish a network of direct and intermediary relationships.
- Identifying, qualifying, and originating new equipment-based financing opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective borrowers.
- Reviewing financial and non-financial information to evaluate prospective clients against lending policies and target market requirements.
- Supporting the underwriting process, obtaining credit approvals, and guiding clients through financing terms and conditions.
- Led negotiations and structure loan opportunities during the proposal and transaction stages.
- Aid in portfolio management activities, including reviewing delinquency reports and supporting collection efforts when needed.
- Identify additional financing opportunities and refer relevant opportunities to specialized internal teams.
- Represent the organization professionally within the assigned market while strengthening customer relationships and brand reputation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, or a related financial services environment, with a strong track record of sales success and client relationship management.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in equipment finance or a similar financial services industry.
- Previous outside sales experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of credit fundamentals within a banking or finance environment.
- Demonstrated ability to generate and close complex transactions ranging from $1 million to $50 million.
- Experience with direct client origination and managing sophisticated financing relationships.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to balance competing responsibilities.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
