Responsibilities
- Evaluate and execute strategic initiatives involving capital deployment, reinsurance, Bermuda platform expansion, acquisitions, and other opportunities capable of materially impacting enterprise value.
- Own enterprise-level evaluation of strategic alternatives affecting capital deployment, growth, risk profile, and shareholder value.
- Present recommendations to executive leadership, parent company stakeholders, and Board committees.
- Lead strategic development of the Company's Bermuda platform as a source of capital efficiency, risk management, and growth.
- Achieve transaction objectives including capital efficiency, liquidity improvement, earnings emergence, and risk transfer outcomes, while considering multiple accounting bases.
- Evaluate and structure internal and external reinsurance transactions.
- Evaluate and structure internal and external reinsurance transactions.
- Optimize treaty economics, risk transfer, reserve relief, capital efficiency, liquidity, and profit emergence.
- Evaluate implications of US RBC, Bermuda EBS, and other solvency frameworks, as well as across US GAAP and IFRS.
- Partner with FP&A leadership to advance forecasting and scenario modeling capabilities.
- Develop frameworks that translate experience into impacts on earnings, capital, liquidity, and enterprise value.
- Enhance strategic planning and decision-support analytics.
- Evaluate and optimize investment performance.
- Evaluate asset allocation, asset segmentation, liquidity, and ALM strategies.
- Lead strategic transactions, accounting initiatives, and enterprise transformation efforts.
- Provide leadership on LDTI, reinsurance transactions, and other strategic projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) required; CFA, CPA, MBA, or other advanced designation desirable.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in life insurance and/or annuity financial management, consulting, actuarial, capital management, reinsurance, strategy, investments, or related disciplines.
- Deep understanding of life and annuity product economics, capital frameworks, and financial reporting.
- Experience evaluating reinsurance transactions and strategic initiatives.
- Familiarity with LDTI, IFRS 17, RBC, EBS, and related frameworks.
