VP, Data Strategy & Insight
About the role
The Vice President (VP) of Data Strategy and Insights will serve as a leader in the Strategy and Insights offerings, exercising independent judgment to navigate complex, fast-paced environments. This role requires staying current with pharmaceutical, FDA, legal, regulatory, and compliance landscapes, as well as data management, analytics platforms, and social media tools. The VP will guide collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors, while considering patient and caregiver perspectives to inform scalable decisions.
The VP will manage a team of strategists, insights researchers, and data analysts, connecting patient journeys, service experiences, and engagement strategies to measurable KPIs. They will leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to communicate the value of Snow’s programming through the lens of patient experience and client objectives, advising on optimizing patient engagement initiatives across the healthcare continuum.
Snow’s business centers on the patient journey, and this role requires compassion, sensitivity, and a commitment to incorporating patient and caregiver experiences into client strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic evolution of Snow’s data engagement, analytics, measurement, and performance optimization offerings across pharmaceutical and biotech client accounts, integrating insights, KPIs, reporting standards, dashboards, benchmarking, case studies, and measurement frameworks into multi-channel engagement programs.
- Translate client objectives, patient journeys, and experience outcomes into strategic data engagement direction, developing KPIs, reporting approaches, dashboards, optimization recommendations, and measurement frameworks that demonstrate patient value and business impact.
- Partner with Experience Design, Strategy, Creative, AI/Digital, Technology Solutions, Account, and Program teams to connect experience maps, service blueprints, user research, and accessibility considerations to measurement plans, KPIs, and optimization opportunities.
- Provide senior oversight for data extraction, consolidation, analysis, visualization, dashboarding, and reporting across marketing, CRM, database, and engagement platforms, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and client-readiness for metrics such as registration, attendance, qualitative evaluations, delivery, open rates, click rates, conversion, opt-outs, retention, and engagement quality.
- Lead the development and communication of actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on program performance, audience behavior, engagement trends, research findings, and business objectives, translating complex data into clear, client-ready narratives.
- Independently prepare for, lead, and present client-facing work, including performance reporting, measurement plans, strategic recommendations, optimization roadmaps, and executive-level insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Account, Strategy, Experience Design, Creative, AI/Digital, Technology Solutions, Database Management, Programs, Call Center, Project Management, and analytics) to activate insights, identify opportunities for applied data science, and translate segmentation, predictive analytics, and performance optimization into actionable engagement strategies.
- Support RFPs, proposals, SOW development, pricing, scoping, project plans, timelines, dependencies, and resourcing for analytics, reporting, dashboarding, research, measurement, and data strategy projects.
- Develop and maintain benchmark goals, measurement standards, performance norms, case studies, thought leadership, tools, dashboards, and reporting approaches to demonstrate impact and support business development.
- Mentor, train, and provide strategic guidance to analytics team members, engagement strategists, and cross-functional partners while establishing and improving standards for measurement planning, reporting, dashboarding, insight development, and client presentations.
- Stay current on legal, regulatory, healthcare, pharmaceutical marketing, data privacy, digital advertising, email marketing, analytics, and platform policy changes, supporting regulatory and compliance submissions as needed.
- Independently own complex projects through completion, delegate effectively, and provide solutions to clients and internal stakeholders while accepting accountability for outcomes.

Requirements
- 8+ years of related healthcare and/or pharmaceutical experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required in marketing, business, data analytics, statistics, economics, information systems, communications, public health, healthcare administration, user experience, service design, experience design, psychology, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS in Analytics/Data Science, or related graduate degree) preferred.
- Working knowledge of experience design, service design, patient journey mapping, experience mapping, service blueprinting, user research, accessibility considerations, and/or design strategy, with the ability to connect designed patient experiences to KPIs and performance recommendations.
- Experience leading teams with minimal day-to-day guidance, independently prioritizing and managing people and deadlines.
Skills
- Expertise in data visualization, business intelligence, data storytelling, and dashboard tools, including:
- Microsoft Power BI
- Domo
- Tableau / Tableau Cloud
- Salesforce Reports and Dashboards
- Strong familiarity with Salesforce data objects and relationships (contacts, campaigns, leads, accounts, opportunities, tasks, events, and custom objects).
- Proficiency in CRM, marketing automation, event/program, email, and call center data structures, including data hygiene, deduplication, segmentation, consent/opt-in status, and regulatory considerations.
- Experience with data extraction and integration methods, including Salesforce connectors, APIs, exports, ETL tools, and data warehouses.
- Dashboard QA, metric definition, KPI governance, and executive-level data storytelling, with an emphasis on translating Salesforce, CRM, marketing, program, and engagement data into actionable insights and client-ready narratives.
- Proficiency in marketing fundamentals and media channels, including:

- Google Analytics, AdWords, Search Console, and Tag Manager
- Hootsuite / Talkwalker

- Experience documenting SOWs, invoices, and project tracking for client work.
- Ability to independently prepare visual reports and analyses of client and industry trends, including recommendations or conclusions.
- Experience reporting on monthly performance measures for digital properties.
Schedule
While day-to-day work primarily occurs during regular office hours, occasional evening and weekend work is required. Candidates should expect workload demands that may extend beyond standard business hours (8:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday–Friday).
Travel
Travel is required for this role to support team tasks and job responsibilities. Candidates must accommodate the specific travel requirements of the position.
Certifications
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Passport may be necessary in some instances.
Work Environment
Omnicom requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days per week, with potential for additional in-office days as directed by the agency or manager. Many Omnicom agencies and corporate groups already require five days of in-office attendance.
