About the role
The Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, audit management, and multi-entity accounting while leading and developing a growing accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
- Cook up annual audits, tax support, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and management reporting.
- Develop KPI reporting and financial analytics to support executive decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and accounting systems optimization.
- Support ERP enhancements and help maximize reporting efficiency through financial systems and technology.
- Manage accounting for multiple legal entities and support acquisitions, integrations, and continued organizational growth.
Qualifications
- Active CPA license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, VP of Accounting, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience managing multi-entity accounting and consolidations.
- Proven success leading external financial audits.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or comparable platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems proficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting teams.
Benefits
Compensation: $185,000–$215,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus a competitive benefits package.
