VP, Compliance Operations

For our client, we are seeking a VP, Compliance Operations to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This leader will oversee compliance operations that support regulatory filings, tax processes, and operational controls across the business. The role is focused on strengthening compliance governance, improving risk management execution, and ensuring day-to-day processes scale effectively in a highly regulated insurance environment. You will partner closely with business leaders, compliance stakeholders, and operations teams to enhance monitoring, remediation, and examination readiness. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $170,000 – $200,000 annually Responsibilities Lead execution of compliance programs, including regulatory filings and tax operations Ensure alignment with the compliance risk framework and applicable regulatory requirements Develop and maintain operational compliance policies and controls Implement risk-based monitoring and quality assurance protocols Establish KPIs and KRIs to track operational effectiveness Strengthen issue identification and remediation processes Provide advisory support to business partners Support regulatory examinations and inquiries Build and develop high-performing compliance teams Qualifications 10+ years in insurance compliance or related risk functions Expertise in Surplus Lines tax and compliance Experience managing high-volume regulatory processes Understanding of state insurance regulations Proven ability to develop scalable business processes Strong leadership and collaboration skills Bachelor’s degree Relevant certifications preferred Benefits Comprehensive health coverage Retirement plan with company match Generous paid time off Continuous learning and development opportunities Flexible work environment Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
