About the role
Drive revenue growth in employee benefits, HR, and corporate communications. Lead complex, multi-disciplinary pursuits and position Segal as a trusted advisor across these areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex Segal Benz communications pursuits across practices, markets, and geographies, ensuring client-centric, high-quality solutions.
- Achieve annual revenue and growth targets through innovative go-to-market strategies grounded in market insight and client needs.
- Own the full pursuit lifecycle—from opportunity qualification through proposal development, pitch strategy, finalist presentations, and transition to delivery teams.
- Maintain a disciplined, high-value pipeline; apply CRM rigor, analytics, and continuous improvement to elevate proposal quality and win rates.
- Expand Segal’s presence in priority and emerging industry verticals while contributing to long-term practice growth and positioning.
- Provide strategic guidance on complex client and business challenges; contribute to thought leadership, intellectual capital, and best practice innovation.
- Partner with Growth and Innovation and Marketing teams to strengthen sales processes, tools, and pursuit governance.
- Participate in enterprise initiatives focused on efficiency, innovation, revenue growth, and operational excellence.
- Build and maintain influential, senior-level client relationships; serve as a trusted advisor on high-value communications and HR/benefits challenges.
Requirements
- 12+ years of consultative business development experience in a professional services environment, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in communications, marketing, HR, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred or equivalent progressive professional experience.
- Deep expertise in Communications, including employee benefits communications, HR communications, and corporate communications or demonstrated ability to integrate complementary Segal consulting services.
- Proven success closing complex, high-value, multi-disciplinary engagements with strong client satisfaction.
- Experience selling across multiple industries, with established presence and networks in one or more priority verticals (e.g., corporate/commercial markets, higher education, healthcare, sports/entertainment).
- Demonstrated ability to design, improve, or scale sales processes, including pipeline management, CRM discipline, pursuit governance, sales analytics, and cross-practice coordination.
- Exceptional executive-level communication, influence, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong cross-functional leadership capability and an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mindset.

Pay
The current salary range for this position is $150,500 - $200,000, with a meaningful bonus opportunity.
