About the Role

The Consumer Engagement Lifecycle Marketing team drives rapid growth of our Card portfolios through meaningful touchpoints that deepen engagement and loyalty with existing Cardholders. This role focuses on the Walgreens portfolio, leading end-to-end customer lifecycle marketing. You will partner closely with the Walgreens Marketing Leader, the Consumer Engagement COE team, and other cross-functional teams to build loyalty and capture top-of-wallet position. The role reports to the VP, Cobrand Lifecycle Marketing Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Portfolio Marketing leader to develop and implement customer lifecycle plans to drive portfolio growth.
  • Design and execute existing customer communications to accelerate card usage in the early months and throughout the cardholder’s tenure, owning the early engagement, tenured, and retention cardholder journeys.
  • Leverage enterprise lifecycle marketing programs while optimizing and innovating to meet unique Walgreens customer needs.
  • Drive continued innovation in marketing programs to shift share of wallet and drive loyalty at scale.
  • Identify opportunities for a digital-first approach to differentiate portfolio marketing.
  • Partner with Analytics, Product, and Operations to analyze portfolio data and translate insights into recommendations for driving card engagement, spend, and loyalty.
  • Identify customer segments for targeted test-and-learn campaigns and curate messages and offers to deliver ROI-positive results.
  • Manage end-to-end campaign development, including forecasting, results reporting, and automation of email triggers and ongoing campaigns in partnership with Performance Marketing.
  • Effectively manage external agencies to drive high-impact creative while gaining cost efficiencies.
  • Articulate campaign strategy and results to key stakeholders.
  • Lead special projects as needed to drive portfolio growth.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school equivalent and 11+ years of marketing experience within the credit card industry.
  • 7+ years of relevant marketing experience, including:
    • Marketing leadership skills (analytic and creative) with significant exposure to consumer-facing programs/products.
    • Experience with digital marketing.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.

  • Experience with Cosmos, Workfront, and other Synchrony execution platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in the credit card industry, particularly the Cobrand Card space.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $185,000 USD annually, plus an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation within this range will be based on work experience, skill level, or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro, and Seattle.

Schedule

This role offers flexibility with the option to work from home near one of Synchrony’s Hubs or come into an office. You will be required to commute to your nearest Hub (virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities such as regular business or team meetings, training, and culture events.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation, and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process.
  • Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; Synchrony will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this role.
