Summary
At Osaic, our Business Development team drives organic growth for the company. We seek a VP of Business Development to increase new financial advisor affiliations and meet recruitment goals. The ideal candidate will excel in building relationships, closing deals, and showcasing wealth management solutions.
Responsibilities
- Represent Osaic and our Wealth Management Firms, understanding solutions and researching potential clients.
- Meet and exceed sales goals using consultative selling tactics.
- Nurture leads, manage sales pipeline, and execute the sales process.
- Develop territory action plans, conduct research, set meetings, and negotiate deals.
- Build relationships with product sponsors, wholesalers, and other influencers.
- Work with internal stakeholders to improve processes and provide a top-notch prospect experience.
- Use Salesforce to track activities, manage leads, and build pipelines.
- Foster peer-to-peer learning and coaching within the Business Development team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma in lieu of degree with significant experience.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Track record of successful sales/recruitment in the financial industry.
- Strong knowledge of wealth management products and operations.
- Thorough understanding of the financial services industry.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Strong focus on customer service.
- Ability to stay organized and balance multiple priorities.
- Public speaking and written communication skills.
- Decision-making skills, especially in a high-growth environment.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Basic Requirements
- FINRA Series 7, 24, and 65/66 preferred.
- Life/Health insurance license.
