VP, Business Development

Remote opportunity for a Senior Front-End Engineer to build the next generation of our web platform.

About the role

We’re looking for a seasoned front-end engineer to join our small, distributed team and help us scale our React-based application. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver fast, accessible, and delightful user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and performant React code that powers our core product.
• Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect UIs that adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
• Optimize bundle size, rendering performance, and API calls to keep the app snappy on low-end devices.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
• Participate in on-call rotation (1 week every 8 weeks) to triage and resolve production issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS (CSS Modules, Tailwind, or similar).
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, or similar).
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
• Strong understanding of web performance metrics and optimization techniques.
• Comfortable working in a remote-first environment with minimal supervision.

Pay

$140,000 – $170,000 base salary, plus equity (0.05% – 0.1% of company).

Schedule

• Core hours: 10 AM – 2 PM PT for meetings and collaboration.
• Async work outside core hours; no strict 9-to-5 requirement.
