VP, Broker - Financial Institutions Group
without heading? The instruction: Use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings? It says use for section headings (e.g. those). Likely we should only use those headings if we have content. If we don't have a matching heading, we could just put content in
without heading? But they said "Use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." It implies those are the allowed headings. So we should map content to those headings where appropriate.
Let's identify sections:
- Responsibilities: "What You'll Be Doing" list of duties. That's responsibilities.
- Requirements: maybe "Who You Are" list of skills/attributes.
- Qualifications: "Education And/or Experience" and "Certificates, Licenses, Registration".
- Skills: maybe part of Who You Are? Could be overlapping. But we can put skills under Skills heading.
- Benefits: "What We Offer" includes competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more. Also base salary range $150k-$170k. That's Pay and Benefits.
- Pay: base salary range.
- Schedule: not mentioned. So we should not include Schedule heading.
We must not include headings with filler like "commensurate with experience". We have specific salary range, so we can include Pay.
We need to avoid repeating job title as heading. Not needed.
We need to drop Job ID/requisition numbers: at end "2587827". Remove.
Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. At end there is "NFP and You... Better together! NFP is an inclusive Equal Employment Opportunity employer." That's EEO boilerplate; remove.
Also "NFP is looking for an individual to join our Financial Lines and Management Liability team for the US." That's part of description; could be under About the role? Actually it's about the role. We'll incorporate.
Let's structure:
About the role
NFP, an Aon Company, is a multi-year Best Places to Work award winner in Business Insurance. We are an organization of consultative advisors and problem solvers. We help companies and individuals around the globe address their most significant risk, workforce, wealth management and retirement challenges through custom solutions and a people-first approach. NFP is looking for an individual to join our Financial Lines and Management Liability team for the US. This person is responsible for broking new and renewal business, handling all aspects of the placements from initial market selection through policy delivery to client. The VP, Broker typically focuses on the largest and most complex placements, while serving in a leadership capacity to mentor and develop staff while cultivating strong insurer and insurer-client-broker relationships.
But note: The instruction says do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it) and do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a shortor drop it. So we can include the role description in About the role. Now Responsibilities: list from "What You'll Be Doing". We'll convert each sentence into
- .
Now Requirements: maybe "Who You Are" list. Let's extract:
- Excellent leadership and portfolio management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound understanding of broker operating fundamentals and financials
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to adjust to changing workload, work complexity and priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively as a key team member and coach to junior team members
- Strong attention to detail with strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative
- Proven technical competency and creativity demonstrating excellence in creating and delivering innovative property and casualty solutions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Epic (AMS) a plus
We could put these under Requirements or Skills. The instruction includes both Requirements and Skills headings. We could split: Requirements for education/experience, certifications; Skills for abilities. But we have both.
Let's assign:
- Requirements: Education And/or Experience, Certificates, Licenses, Registration.
- Skills: the list of abilities (leadership, communication, etc.) plus proficiency in Microsoft Office, Epic experience.
But we also have "Experience with Epic (AMS) a plus" which is a skill.
Thus:
Skills
- Excellent leadership and portfolio management skills ... etc. Now Requirements: Education And/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Minimum seven years insurance experience; Team leadership experience a plus. Certificates, Licenses, Registration: P&C License required or obtained within 90 days of employment; Advanced industry designation(s) (e.g. CPCU, CIC, ARM) preferred. We'll put those under Requirements. Now Benefits: "What We Offer" includes competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more. Also base salary range $150,000 – $170,000. Also performance-based incentives. We need separate Pay and Benefits sections. Pay: base salary range. Benefits: other benefits. Thus:
- Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
- 401(k) with company match
- Exclusive discount programs
- Health & wellness programs
- PeopleFirst culture focused on building lifelong relationships
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $150,000 – $170,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
But note: The instruction says never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD") and never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. We have actual salary range, so okay. Now Benefits: list: PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more. Also "Our PeopleFirst culture focuses on building and nurturing lifelong relationships with our employees because, at the end of the day, we exist to be there for others." That's more culture; could be part of Benefits or About the role? Might be considered benefit. We'll include as bullet. Thus:Benefits
