VP Asset Servicing
This is a Vice President Department Manager position at the P5 job level within Core Services, responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products. In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls, and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.

About the role
Manage complex processes and/or support significant process management/project efforts including:
- Team Manager for both the onshore and offshore teams responsible for all WM Income events (20 onshore resources and 9 offshore). Team management includes people, process, and technology related to all income event types impacting the WM platform.
- Run-the-business (RTB) responsibilities for all income events, covering all steps in the corporate action event lifecycle (announcement validation, FA/client notifications, elections/preferences, payments, and reconciliations).
- Responsible for the service function for the Morgan Stanley, E*Trade, and Advisory client channels.
- Driving AI and automation adoption and implementation across the teams.
- Engage with fleet product owners on the development and rollout of the strategic proprietary asset servicing technology roadmap.
- Engage in the design and rollout of all new processes and controls related to new markets, products, etc.
- Lead process re-engineering, improvement, automation, project management, and testing across multiple teams while ensuring a high standard of governance remains in place.
- Analyze and expose ambiguous, complex, or non-standard issues, identify risks, root causes, and propose future actions, tracking through to resolution.
- Provide broad product experience to support the resolution of complex issues and function as a senior point of escalation.
- Directly contribute to the operation and delivery of risk and control processes. Ensure risks detected across the control framework are mitigated, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) are managed, and issues are appropriately escalated.
- Apply hands-on experience from prior roles within a regulated financial institution to shape operating models, controls, and scalability.
- Stay current with industry trends, including digital assets, extended trading, and embedding AI into daily processes.
Requirements
- Strong leadership presence, culture carrier, and role model, representing and leading the Firm’s core values to influence and motivate those around you.
- Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional programs with senior-level exposure.
- Broad experience in Financial Services Operations with a comprehensive understanding of front-to-back trade flow and post-trade processing.
- Experience in automating operational processes leveraging transformation tools such as Power Automate, Alteryx, Power BI, and UiPath.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively.
- Experience collaborating with Sales, Advisors, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to think commercially, understand the impact of initiatives, risks, and operational impacts.
- Ability to address non-standard issues within area of expertise.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Series 99 license required or willingness to obtain within 180 days of employment.

Pay
Salary range for the position: $125,000.00 - $205,000.00 per year.
