The VP, Application Reliability & Operations Engineering is responsible for advancing enterprise technology reliability, operational excellence, and service resilience across a large-scale technology environment. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Defining and executing strategies to improve platform stability, automation, performance monitoring, and incident management capabilities.
  2. Building and leading a high-performing engineering organization focused on reliability, automation, and operational excellence.
  3. Establishing automated monitoring and health-check capabilities across strategically important enterprise systems.
  4. Improving service levels, reliability metrics, operational visibility, and technology performance through defined and executed initiatives.
  5. Governing enterprise technology changes to ensure effective prioritization, minimal disruption, and alignment across business and technology teams.
  6. Leading major incident response efforts, providing clear direction and communication during critical events.
  7. Driving automation initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance technology operations.
  8. Developing metrics-driven reporting frameworks, including service-level indicators and performance objectives, to support continuous improvement.
  9. Partnering with executive stakeholders to advise on technology strategies, operational risks, and transformation opportunities.

Requirements

  • An experienced technology executive with a strong background in enterprise operations, reliability engineering, and large-scale technology transformation.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale transformation programs and improving technology reliability across complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of technology lifecycle management, product management principles, and performance measurement frameworks such as KPIs or OKRs.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and lead highly skilled engineering teams.
  • Excellent executive communication, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities, particularly in high-pressure operational situations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, including maintaining a dedicated workspace and meeting required connectivity standards.
  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings, training, or collaboration sessions.
