VP AI Engineering - Enterprise

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a VP AI Engineering - Enterprise to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This leader will shape the enterprise approach to data engineering and generative AI across core business functions, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with regulatory expectations. The role will guide the design of modern data platforms, AI enablement, and governance practices that support enterprise decision-making. You will partner closely with security, compliance, and functional leaders to deliver measurable business value from AI and data investments.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the enterprise strategy for data and generative AI engineering
• Oversee the design and operation of enterprise ETL/ELT platforms integrating legacy and modern systems
• Establish governance for feature stores and AI-ready data products
• Set direction for generative AI enablement and secure data consumption
• Own the enterprise Snowflake strategy and its integration with cloud AI services
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to meet security and regulatory requirements
• Establish metrics to ensure data and AI engineering investments deliver business value

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field; Master's preferred
• 10+ years of engineering or enterprise technology experience, with 5+ years in technical leadership
• Strong hands-on understanding of LLMs, agentic AI, RAG, APIs, and workflow automation
• Experience building AI solutions for corporate functions like HR, Marketing, Finance, or Legal
• Proficient in managing enterprise SaaS or AI platforms at scale
• Strong AWS and/or Azure knowledge, particularly in AI platform integration
• Experience establishing AI governance and access controls

Pay

• $180,000 – $220,000 annually
