VP AI Engineering

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery, working across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute AI engineering strategy aligned with business transformation goals
• Lead development and deployment of AI solutions across global operations
• Build and scale a high-performing AI engineering organization
• Establish standards for AI integration and lifecycle management
• Oversee design of autonomous AI systems for operational optimization and compliance
• Drive architecture decisions for AI platforms and observability tooling
• Translate business priorities into scalable AI delivery roadmaps

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years in software engineering, AI engineering, or platform architecture
• 5+ years leading high-performing technical teams
• Experience deploying LLM-powered systems and agentic AI solutions in enterprises
• Deep expertise in RAG architectures, vector databases, and workflow automation systems
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
• Proven ability to design and implement AI governance frameworks
