Voucher Examiner

About the role

The Voucher Examiner position is located at the Pawnee Indian Health Center in Pawnee, Oklahoma. The incumbent performs debt management and accounts receivable support functions within the Business Office. Incumbent reports to the Business Office Supervisory Health System Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Help Reviews delinquent patient records for any outstanding balances and follows up with patients.
• Prepares and processes a variety of documents related to patients with outstanding balances.
• Maintains a patient account filing system.
• Solves difficult reconciliation discrepancies.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

Requirements

• Conditions of employment: Selectee may be subject to a probationary period. U.S. Citizenship is required. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector.
• Examples include reviewing or examining claims, vouchers, or billing documents to identify errors, discrepancies, or reasons for non-payment; and following up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims or invoices to initiate corrective action or resubmission.
