Maintenance of voting machines

Maintain, troubleshoot and repair the voting equipment.

Troubleshooting and repairing machines

Knowledge of diagnostics. Troubleshoot and repair machines as needed.

Programming voting machines

Program voting machines in preparation for each election.

Service calls on Election Day

• Handle service calls on Election Day.

Preparing, organizing and packing up Judge of Election supplies

• Assist in preparing, organizing and packing up Judge of Election supplies for box pickup day.

Organizing election supplies

• Organize documents and supplies for tabulation.
• Organize election supplies.

Participating in poll worker classes and voting machine demonstrations

• Participate in poll worker classes and voting machine demonstrations.

Aiding in redistricting and polling location changes

• Aid in posting notices for redistricting and polling location changes.

Charging voting equipment

• Affix to assist with charging voting equipment.

Warehouse security measures

• Work as a team to ensure all tasks are completed timely.
• Comply with warehouse security measures.

Positive work environment

• Must be willing and able to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Computer literate and basic clerical skills.
• Good inter-personal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to convey instructions to others in a clear and concise manner.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask.
• Ability to tolerate warehouse conditions.
• Ability to lift heavy tubs; pushing and pulling of voting machines.
• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Electronic background desirable.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk and hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands or arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
