Volunteer: Squarespace Designer – Build Volunteer & Program Pages

About the Role

Build a polished, responsive Squarespace intake form and a Volunteer Page that honors frontline supporters. Create or refine up to three additional pages (Home, About, Support/Donate) to be visually engaging, intuitive, and aligned with Army Pink branding. Include collaborative feedback cycles and a handoff for maintenance. Details will be provided during the project.

An accessible, on-brand website will help survivors, volunteers, and supporters connect with Army Pink’s services. Improved intake and volunteer pages will make it easier to access safe rides, recruit frontline supporters, and encourage donor engagement—helping survivors leave danger and begin rebuilding with dignity and support.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a responsive Squarespace intake form.
• Create or refine a Volunteer Page to honor frontline supporters.
• Develop or enhance up to three additional pages (Home, About, Support/Donate) to ensure visual engagement, intuitiveness, and brand alignment.
• Collaborate with the Army Pink team through feedback cycles to finalize designs.
• Provide a clear handoff for site maintenance by staff.

About Army Pink

Army Pink: Pathway to Freedom is a survivor-led initiative that makes escape possible — by funding the very first step: a safe ride out. We turn compassion into action by helping survivors of domestic abuse leave danger and begin again with dignity, support, and a path toward healing. Because no one should be left behind when they’re ready to leave.

We provide safe rides for survivors who need a way out of dangerous situations. We also connect survivors with meaningful support through trusted partners who offer mental health care, education, wellness, and long-term recovery resources.

As a fiscally sponsored initiative under Charity On Top (a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit), we ensure donations are tax-deductible and used responsibly to support ride access and survivor safety. We stay committed to each survivor’s path forward, because leaving abuse isn’t just about getting out — it’s about rebuilding a life with a safe way forward and hope.

Leaving an abusive situation is the most dangerous moment for a survivor. Many face barriers that make escaping even harder — no safe transportation, limited support, fear, or not knowing where to turn. Domestic violence organizations consistently report that lack of safe transportation is the number one unmet and severely underfunded need, keeping survivors trapped in dangerous situations. By providing safe rides and connecting survivors to real resources, Army Pink helps make that critical moment safer and gives each survivor the support to move forward and start again.

Army Pink also curates a healing space designed to calm the nervous system and restore balance. Survivors can access meditation, crystal bowls, movement, and trauma-informed yoga, thoughtfully selected to support recovery and resilience. These resources help survivors reconnect with themselves, soothe stress, and rebuild a sense of safety and wholeness, nurturing the part of them most deeply wounded.
