Volunteer Services - Intern

Primary Responsibilities

• Assisting with coordinating and scheduling volunteers for both the JFS office and off-site assignments.
• Ensure volunteers are properly utilized and engaged.
• Respond to volunteer inquiries promptly.
• Cook up volunteer recognition activities.
• Protect the organization’s value and individual privacy by maintaining confidentiality.
• Assisting with volunteer recruitment and outreach events.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Sign in and out using VicTouch for each shift.
• Report any concerns to the Volunteer Services Manager.

Requirements

• Education: Preferably, completed or working toward the completion of a college degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or Social Work.
• Experience: Previous Internship or related experience in volunteer engagement and/or management is a plus.
• Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Experience with Volgistics is a plus.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to communicate professionally with staff, volunteers, and community members.
• Self-motivated.
• Good organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented.
