Volunteer Product Strategy Lead

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Product Strategy Lead to help us turn a long list of product and revenue ideas into a clear, focused plan. You won't be building anything yourself — you'll be helping us figure out what to build, in what order, and why, so our limited time and resources go toward the ideas most likely to succeed. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who wants to use their product management skills to support a mission they believe in.

What You'll Do

• Review our current list of product/income ideas and assess each for feasibility, market demand, and revenue potential
• Lead a lightweight prioritization process (e.g., impact vs. effort framework) with our leadership team
• Help define a simple roadmap — what we pursue first, second, and later — and what we table for now
• Recommend quick, low-cost ways to validate top ideas before we invest real time or money
• Translate the agreed direction into a plan our team (staff, volunteers, contractors) can actually execute
• Meet regularly with leadership to check progress and adjust priorities as we learn

What We're Looking For

• Experience in product management, product strategy, or a related field (startup, nonprofit, or corporate background all welcome)
• Comfort with ambiguity — you know how to bring structure to a messy list of ideas
• Strong facilitation and communication skills; able to guide non-product people through prioritization decisions
• Familiarity with basic validation methods (customer interviews, MVPs, market research) is a plus
• Genuine interest in our mission
