Volunteer Meta Business Suite & Facebook Systems Specialist Team
The Shepherds Ark is a Christ-centered ministry on a mission to build a sanctuary of hope and justice for both animals and people. We are a volunteer-based ministry dedicated to providing rescue, care, and advocacy for at-risk animals while also addressing the systemic injustice that leads to the destestitution of both animals and people.
About the role
Remote skilled-volunteer opportunity to audit, troubleshoot, and streamline Meta administrative infrastructure. This role focuses on system administration, user access management, asset security, and platform troubleshooting rather than direct content creation or public post strategy.
Commitment: Approximately 2–5 hours per week; project and troubleshooting based. Initial term: 90-day introductory period; renewable by mutual agreement.
Organization Description
The Animal Cause, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Christian animal-welfare organization working to save shelter animals, support efforts to reduce shelter overpopulation, preserve life, and strengthen the systems that help vulnerable animals move from crisis toward safety, care, and responsible placement. We support and collaborate with shelters, rescues, fosters, volunteers, receiving organizations, veterinary providers, donors, businesses, churches, and communities through volunteer, transport, rescue-support, consulting, foster-partnership, visibility, and infrastructure-building efforts. The Animal Cause is entirely volunteer-led and supported through donations, grants, fundraising, and in-kind support.
Responsibilities
- Perform a full technical audit of The Animal Cause’s Meta Business Portfolio, Facebook Page settings, Instagram connections, and user access permissions.
- Diagnose and resolve systemic access issues preventing the organization from adding new team members or delegating page tasks.
- Identify and fix backend asset ownership conflicts (e.g., orphaned accounts, grayed-out roles, Business Manager vs. New Pages Experience permission locks).
- Safely configure, assign, and monitor task-based access levels (content, community management, ads, insights) for authorized volunteers.
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for adding, updating, and removing volunteer permissions securely.
- Advise leadership on Meta compliance, account security, two-factor authentication requirements, and best practices for non-profit business assets.
- Monitor Meta Business Suite analytics setups and ensure linked assets (Meta Pixel, ad accounts, payment methods) remain secure.
Possible Initial Assignments

- Onboarding Guide: Create a simple 1-page playbook for TAC leadership detailing how to safely add and remove volunteer managers in the future.

- Respect for the mission, values, and Christian identity of The Animal Cause, Inc.
