Volunteer - Fire Rescue

Pasco County Volunteers consist of 4 volunteer organizations, all operating under the umbrella of Pasco County Fire Rescue. Volunteer Fire Rescue applicants must complete the following:

• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass an NFPA 1582 physical

The Volunteer Organizations

• Zephyrhills Volunteer Fire Department
• Traveler's Rest Volunteer Fire Department (must live within this 55+ community)
• Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department
• West Pasco Volunteer Fire Department

Minimum Requirements

Volunteer Fire Rescue applicants must have the following certifications:

• Valid Driver License
• Valid BLS/CPR Card
• Valid Florida Firefighter 1 certification (or ability to obtain as required)
• Valid 1st Responder, EMT License (or ability to obtain)
• Must live in Pasco County or in a County adjacent to Pasco County (Hernando, Hillsborough, Pinellas or Polk)
• Meet the requirements set forth in the by-laws of the individual Volunteer Organization
