About the role

The Volunteer Content Writer plays a crucial role in amplifying the RedLife Blood Donors Community's mission by crafting compelling articles, news updates, and patient stories for our website. This position involves producing 2–4 pieces per month, each 500–800 words, on topics such as the life-saving impact of blood donations, donor testimonials, health myths debunked, upcoming blood drives, and community success stories across Pakistan.

Responsibilities

• Write engaging, accurate, and SEO-optimized content with keywords like “voluntary blood donation Pakistan” or “RedLife blood camp.”
• Collaborate with the team to align on themes and gather feedback for revisions.
• Ensure all materials inspire action while adhering to ethical storytelling guidelines, especially for sensitive patient narratives.
• Research and verify facts from reliable sources (e.g., WHO guidelines or local health authorities).
• Post content using WordPress and optionally create supporting visuals with Canva.

Requirements

• Prior experience in content creation, such as blogging, journalism, university newsletters, or social media writing.
• A portfolio showcasing 3–5 health-related or nonprofit pieces.
• Strong English and Urdu writing skills with the ability to simplify complex medical information for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with tools like Google Docs, Canva, and WordPress.
• Sensitivity to cultural contexts in Islamabad and strong research abilities.
