About the role
The Volunteer Content Writer plays a crucial role in amplifying the RedLife Blood Donors Community's mission by crafting compelling articles, news updates, and patient stories for our website. This position involves producing 2-4 pieces per month, each 500-800 words, on topics such as the life-saving impact of blood donations, donor testimonials, health myths debunked, upcoming blood drives, and community success stories across Pakistan.
Content must be engaging, accurate, and optimized for SEO with keywords like "voluntary blood donation Pakistan" or "RedLife blood camp." The writer collaborates with the team to align on themes, gathers feedback for revisions, and ensures all materials inspire action while adhering to ethical storytelling guidelines, especially for sensitive patient narratives.
Responsibilities
- Produce 2-4 articles per month (500-800 words each) on blood donation impact, donor testimonials, health myths, blood drives, and community stories.
- Optimize content for SEO using relevant keywords.
- Collaborate with the team to align on themes and incorporate feedback.
- Ensure ethical storytelling, particularly for sensitive patient narratives.
- Simplify complex medical information for diverse audiences (students, families, professionals).
- Verify facts using reliable sources (e.g., WHO guidelines, local health authorities).
- Participate in team meetings via WhatsApp or Zoom.
Requirements
