Volunteer: Client Handbook Development for Droste Mental Health Services
About the role
We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help Droste Mental Health Services develop a comprehensive, accessible, and client-friendly Client Handbook. The handbook will serve as a central resource for clients receiving psychotherapy and mental health services through Droste, helping them understand what to expect from services, how to navigate their relationship with Droste and their clinician, and where to find important information throughout their care.
The volunteer will organize and develop handbook content, identify gaps or areas needing clarification, and create a clear, welcoming resource that reflects Droste’s mission and values. Existing policies, procedures, client communications, and organizational information will serve as source material. The final deliverable will be a polished Client Handbook that Droste’s team can provide to new and existing clients and incorporate into the onboarding process.
Impact
A clear and accessible Client Handbook will help strengthen the client experience by making important information easier to understand and navigate. For many clients, beginning mental health services involves unfamiliar processes, policies, expectations, and administrative requirements. A well-designed handbook can reduce confusion, establish clear expectations, help clients access support, and make it easier for them to navigate their relationship with Droste and their clinician.
This project will directly and lastingly impact how clients experience Droste from the beginning of their engagement, while strengthening the infrastructure supporting clinical services.
