About the Organization

Mil Mujeres Legal Services is a nonprofit organization focusing on immigration benefits for survivors of violent crimes and their families. We offer immigration legal services to the low-income Latino community who have been victims of violent crimes within the United States. Our primary focus is gender-based crime survivors.

About the Role

Immerse in the most relevant legal migration processes, contact and support victims of violent crimes. Reach out to culturally diverse communities and enrich your social and cultural knowledge. Hone your digital skills by creating and nurturing databases with precision and accuracy. Elevate your impact by engaging in outreach activities that resonate with culturally diverse communities. Work collaboratively in both English and Spanish-speaking environments, broadening your communication skills and cultural competency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming mail, including regular visits to the PO Box to collect client documents
  • Forward documents to the appropriate office or update digital records in Google Drive

Requirements

  • Bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English)
  • Interest in enthusiastically working with immigrant clients
  • Strong and proven work ethic

Schedule

2-3 days per week (Monday to Friday), on-site in Los Angeles.
