About the role
Give your time to change the lives of hungry children around the world. By joining our volunteering movement, you can use your skills and passion to make a positive difference. Our work is only possible because of our many dedicated volunteers across the globe – from people in Canada who raise awareness to those in the countries we serve who rise early to cook nutritious meals for their children.

Responsibilities
- Speak at schools, churches, or community groups to share the story of Mary’s Meals.
- Share our social media posts to raise awareness.
- Organize or help at fundraising events.
- Volunteer in roles such as communications, design, translation, event support, administration, or professional advice.
- Bring people together, build relationships, and lead community initiatives as a volunteer leader.
Qualifications
We welcome volunteers with a variety of skills and experiences. Whether you enjoy working as part of a team or prefer volunteering on your own, there are many ways you can contribute. Our needs are always evolving, so if you don’t see a current opportunity that feels like the right fit, please reach out and tell us a little about yourself.
Skills
- Communications and public speaking.
- Graphic design, translation, or event planning.
- Administration or professional advice (e.g., legal, financial, or strategic).

Notes
Please note, we rely on local volunteer cooks to ensure children receive much-needed meals every school day. We cannot offer opportunities to volunteer overseas at the schools where our meals are served. Mary’s Meals is owned and run by local communities, and this is a deliberate feature of our working model. Our experience is that equal, trusting partnerships between schools, communities, and Mary’s Meals are essential to effective school feeding operations and long-term sustainability.
