Neil Huffman Volkswagen is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician with strong diagnostic skills to join our growing service department. This position involves full automotive troubleshooting, testing, routine inspections, and repairs. Must have own tools and proper credentials showing certification as a Master Technician with the manufacturer. Pay and sign-on bonus are based on experience and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with minimal supervision.
• Establish positive relationships to achieve a high Customer Service Index.
• Stay updated on changes and innovations in service techniques, as well as manufacturer’s technical bulletins and help lines.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes as mandated by management.
• Advise the service advisor if additional work is needed or if specific outlined work is unnecessary.
• Supervise, coach, and teach less-skilled technicians.
• Keep vehicles clean while working on them and maintain clean work clothes, equipment, and stalls.
• Arrive before the designated starting time.
• Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA/EPA standards.
• Keep personal tools updated to maintain state-of-the-art equipment and advise the service manager of needed shop tools or tool repairs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Master Technician with the manufacturer (required).
• Certification in Acura, Honda, Honda Frankfort, Subaru, Mazda, and Volkswagen brands (preferred but not required).
• Highly motivated with a track record of success.
• Positive attitude (required).
