Voice Network Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Voice Network Engineer to join a collaborative team supporting enterprise telephony and communications systems. This individual will be one of three voice engineers responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization's voice infrastructure while helping drive future cloud-based voice initiatives. Provides design, implementation and operational support for organizational networks, including LAN/WAN, backbone/data center infrastructures and network related services.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 support and troubleshooting for enterprise VoIP and PBX environments.
• Support, maintain, and optimize voice and telecommunications systems.
• Manage call flows, IVRs, and related voice applications.
• Troubleshoot complex voice, connectivity, and user-impacting issues.
• Collaborate with network engineering teams on voice-related infrastructure and integrations.
• Assist with future voice modernization efforts, including cloud telephony and platform migrations.
• Participate in ongoing improvements to system reliability, performance, and user experience.

Requirements

• Experience supporting VoIP, telecom, unified communications, or PBX environments.
• Background with IVR configuration, call routing, and call flow management.
• Experience providing advanced (Tier 3) support for voice systems.
• Exposure to Cisco voice or networking technologies.
• General networking knowledge including routing, switching, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
• Experience with BGP, OSPF, fiber/copper infrastructure, or traditional PBX systems is a plus.

Skills

The team is open to candidates from a variety of voice technology backgrounds. While experience with specific technologies is beneficial, the primary focus is finding someone with strong overall voice and communications engineering experience, proven troubleshooting abilities, and a solid understanding of enterprise telephony environments. Candidates with transferable VoIP, PBX, contact center, or unified communications experience are encouraged to apply, even if their background is with different platforms or vendors.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $53.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
