Vocational Specialist

About the role

RiseWell Community Services is seeking a full-time Vocational Specialist to join our Young Adult Assertive Community Treatment Program (ACT) Team in West Babylon, New York.

Responsibilities

• Utilize professional experience to provide tailored care and guidance to participants and families.
• Supervise and provide direct services, focusing on vocational and educational services.
• Serve as a member of a mobile, community-based, multidisciplinary team for persons with severe and persistent mental illness.
• Deliver individualized care to those in need, serving individuals aged 18-25.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, or rehabilitation counseling (with C.R.C. preferred if a rehabilitation counselor).
• A valid and clean New York State driver's license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a treatment or rehabilitation setting.
• Fingerprinting, criminal record check, and approval from the NYS Office of Mental Health required.
