Vocational Services Manager

ProBerco is offering a $2,000.00 new hire sign-on bonus. Salary starts at $47,840 with shift differentials available.

About the role

The Vocational Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the vocational program, overseeing site management, safety regulations, motor vehicles, materials handling, and the smooth flow of work. This role includes supervision of personnel, including conducting annual performance appraisals.

Responsibilities

• Personnel management, including orientation, supervision, scheduling, and evaluation of staff.
• Site management, including ordering supplies, machine repair, and warehouse organization.
• Maintain fire and physical safety regulations.
• Develop and implement production, program, or community activities.
• Provide supervision and assistance to program participants during work hours, before and after program hours.
• Maintain program motor vehicles.
• Assist staff with materials handling, including operating tow motors and wrapping skids.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Ensure smooth workflow, quality control, and meeting quota deadlines.
• Know and follow emergency procedures.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required.
• Implement policies and procedures.
• Regular attendance at work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college; or an Associate’s Degree and two years’ work experience in industrial work; or a high school diploma and four years’ experience in industrial work, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with methods and materials for education, training, and production management of persons with developmental disabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance.
• May be required to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.
• Ability to move within personal workspace and throughout the office or building to deliver/retrieve materials, attend meetings, or perform other duties.
