About the role
The Project SEARCH program is a 10-month employment training initiative designed for young students or seniors in their last year of high school to prepare for competitive employment and a successful adult life.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing relationships for new jobs and internship sites on campus and within the community.
- Assess students’ vocational strengths and opportunities for growth to identify the appropriate work settings and groups.
- Provide students with job training and develop skills for specific job tasks.
Requirements
- One of the following combinations of education and experience:
- Associate degree in a mental health related field and 1 year of related work experience.
- High school diploma or GED and 3 years of related work experience.
- Must meet Sheppard Pratt’s requirements to operate a company vehicle:
- Be 18 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Driving record with 2 points or less for the 3 most recent years of driving history.
