About the role
The Charles Evans Center (CEC) is a leading not-for-profit organization in Nassau County that supports adults diagnosed with mental illness in achieving independence and pursuing their aspirations.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-billable Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services and activities.
- Systematically develop job networks and assist employers in creating employment opportunities for clients.
- Work with prospective employers to identify and secure job placements for clients.
- Offer job coaching and other interventions aimed at helping clients succeed in specific job tasks.
- Complete benefits counseling, paperwork, or applications on behalf of clients.
- Conduct vocational or career-focused assessments.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- At least two years of OMH or related experience.
- Ability to travel independently to meet clients.
- A valid New York State driver’s license with a clean driving record.

$26.78 per hour
Schedule
Full-time: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p
