Vocational Counselor

We are seeking a Vocational Counselor responsible for teaching high school students pre-employment skills and guiding them to obtain internships in community settings. Key duties include: supporting youth through transition services, delivering workshops on resume writing, interview techniques, career planning, and workplace behaviors, developing individualized employment goals, assisting with internship placements, fostering community business networks, providing on-the-job support, documenting activities, and participating in weekly Job Club activities. Qualifications and skills: 1-2 years of experience working with youth with disabilities or in Human Services, a 2-4 year degree in related fields preferred (experience may substitute), strong organizational, writing, and time management skills, and familiarity with vocational assessments and job coaching. Must hold a valid driver’s license, use personal vehicle, and be comfortable with flexible schedules. Work environment and physical demands: Office-based with fieldwork, requiring regular travel, and physical ability to sit, stand, walk, and communicate effectively.
