About the role
We are looking for a vocal and piano instructor to join our team. Our ideal candidate has a solid foundation in the instruments they teach and can instruct students from young beginners to adults. It is critical that our teachers instill a love for music in their students as we work to build a generation of lifelong musicians. All lessons are taught in person at our Los Gatos location. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important.
Responsibilities
- Teach vocal and piano lessons to students of all ages, from beginners to early intermediate level.
- Foster a love for music and inspire students to become lifelong musicians.
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
Requirements
- Degree in music with an emphasis in vocal pedagogy or performance, or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of teaching experience (current music majors will be considered).
- Ability to teach piano to an early intermediate level.
- Preference for candidates who live in the South Bay.
- Ability to teach other instruments (especially piano and/or guitar) is a plus.
Pay
Starting pay for a teacher with a music degree or equivalent experience is $42 per hour, with a potential raise after a 90-day assessment period.
