Voc Rehab Counselor

About the role

The Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet seeks a Voc Rehab Counselor to provide professional vocational rehabilitation services. Key responsibilities include eligibility determination, guidance and counseling, job placement coordination, and caseload management.

Responsibilities

• Provides vocational counseling and assesses consumer needs
• Collaborates with professionals for job coaching and other services
• Develops and coordinates vocational rehabilitation plans based on assessments
• Travels to provide services to consumers throughout the district
• Maintains case documentation and ensures confidentiality
• Performs public relations and makes referrals

Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant field (rehabilitation, counseling, psychology, etc.)
• Additional two years of professional experience may substitute for a master's degree
• Bachelor's degree plus relevant experience may substitute for the master's degree
