VMware/SAN Engineer

Schedule

8AM–5PM, plus overtime; on-call and weekend support required.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related field
• 4 years of job-related work experience
• 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Required Work Experience

• 6 years of server or other job-related experience

Team & Projects

Managed Systems team currently has 12 people; this hire will make 13. Annual infrastructure refresh of end-of-life/end-of-support hardware. Major efforts around Cyber Resiliency. New datacenter migration.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Daily operational, on-call, and weekend support for VMware and SAN technologies across all lines of business
• Administer and deploy infrastructure, including hardware, software, and configurations
• Administer and maintain user devices and communication links to ensure availability
• Administer and test server hardware and software
• Perform remedial maintenance on server devices, including hardware and software restoration
• Manage server system use, capacity, and performance
• Support server operations across multiple platforms
• Work with end users and vendors to resolve server issues
