Essential Functions
- Identify all components in the VLT machines.
- Operate power tools and other shop equipment safely and correctly.
- Ensure understanding of policies and procedures, internal controls, and Gaming Regulations.
- Provide 100% accuracy and accountability on all required documentation.
- Hold oneself and staff accountable for maintaining the integrity of vital information.
- Model an upbeat and positive attitude and lead by example.
- Create and maintain a positive and supportive team environment.
- Offer assistance to employees and guests as needed.
- Document coaching or corrective actions for team members.
- Define clear goals and expectations for tasks assigned.
- Ensure team members are capable of performing all necessary tasks.
- Ensure team members have the tools needed to perform their jobs.
- Train team members who cannot perform their job duties as expected.
- Follow through with training, assistance, discipline, and recognition.
- Reward and recognize team members who excel.
- Pass down comprehensive status updates on ongoing projects and important information.
- Collaborate with VLT Operations and other departments to provide efficient responses to issues.
- Address guests' service needs with VLT Operations.
- Stay informed about local events and communicate this information to the team.
- Participate in projects and meetings outside of regular shifts.
- Be prepared to perform any necessary functions of projects.
- Run daily reports and investigate any reported problems.
- Ensure the down game board is accurate.
- Keep the tech shop clean before leaving the shift.
- Locate and address any repairs needed during the shift.
- Have a passion for learning and teaching.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Electronics repair and troubleshooting background.
- Ability to read and explain pay for different EGD platforms.
- Ability to perform all game recalls.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair common and uncommon problems with EGDs.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with VLT player tracking systems.
Education And Experience
- Electronics degree preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Two years’ experience as a VLT technician.
