Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service in the Vitamin Department.
• Create and maintain department displays.
• Accurately price all merchandise by stamping, marking, or placing shelf tags and signs throughout the department.
• Use supplement and vitamin knowledge to answer questions and educate within proper parameters.
• Stay familiar with events and seminars on the calendar.
• Share knowledge of weekly ad items and direct customers to product locations throughout the store.

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Show mutual respect for others and maintain a high-level code of ethics within Sprouts’ culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Maintain a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Be willing to gain education on new products and alternative health.
• Be able to perform repetitious activities, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Be able to perform the following physical tasks throughout the entire workday:
  • Standing, walking, bending, climbing.
  • Lifting, stacking, and maneuvering heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4” to 72”, for a distance up to 3 feet, for between 10–50 hours without mechanical assistance.
  • Maneuvering a utility cart holding 20 lbs. requiring a force up to 35 lbs., up to 2 hours, a distance up to 20 feet.
  • Walking up to 3 miles in an 8-hour shift.
• Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
• Be able to perform other related duties as assigned.

Team Members under the age of 18 will be restricted from the following tasks: using a knife (other than safety cutters), using a ladder, operating garbage or cardboard compactors, operating any motor/electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks), and working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods of time.
