Vitamin/HBA Clerk
About the role
As a Vitamin Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service in the Vitamin Department. This role involves creating and maintaining department displays, accurately pricing merchandise, and educating customers within proper parameters about supplements and vitamins. You will also share knowledge of weekly ad items and direct customers to product locations throughout the store.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level, prompt, and friendly customer service.
- Maintain and create department displays.
- Accurately price all merchandise by stamping, marking, or placing shelf tags and signs.
- Answer customer questions and educate them about supplements and vitamins.
- Stay familiar with upcoming events and seminars.
- Share knowledge of weekly ad items and direct customers to product locations.
- Perform repetitious activities, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
- Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Show mutual respect for others and maintain a high-level code of ethics within Sprouts' culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
- Possess good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
- Be willing to gain education on new products and alternative health.
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and climbing throughout the workday.
- Lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4” to 72”, for a distance up to 3 feet, for between 10-50 hours without mechanical assistance.
- Maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs. requiring a force up to 35 lbs., up to 2 hours, a distance up to 20 feet.
- Walk up to 3 miles in an 8-hour shift.
Team Members under the age of 18 will be restricted from the following tasks:
- Using a knife (other than safety cutters).
- Using a ladder.
- Operating garbage or cardboard compactors.
- Operating any motor/electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks).
- Working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods of time.
