About the role
We are seeking a Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team for the upcoming school year. This part-time position (approximately 20–22 hours per week) offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with visual impairments in achieving academic success and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to promote inclusive practices.
- Maintain compliance with state and district requirements.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
- Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to fostering student independence and achievement.
