Visual Observer (Contract Opportunity)

About the role

Zipline is the world’s largest and most experienced drone delivery service. We design, build, and operate the world’s largest autonomous logistics system, delivering critical supplies quickly and reliably. We operate on four continents, making a delivery every 30 seconds, and have completed millions of deliveries to date, including blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products. Responsibilities

• Participate in all pre-operational briefings and other required crew activities.
• Maintains assigned airspace along a flight route prior to launch, during flight and delivery phases of UAS testing.
• Aids in collision avoidance activities (e.g., identification of non-cooperative traffic and communication with the RPIC), as well as the identification of hazardous weather conditions and other unforeseen hazards (e.g., open air assemblies).
• Advocates for safety!

Requirements

• Part 107, Drone, UAS or Aviation Experience Preferred
• A positive attitude, driven to solve problems and support teammates
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions, outdoors and standing for long/extended periods of time
• Full time opportunities available
• Shift availability include days, nights and overnight shifts
