Visual Merchandising Associate

As a Visual Merchandising Associate, your eye for detail is critical to maintaining in-store visual merchandising standards and marketing directives. Through the creation of compelling visual displays, this role contributes to the profitability and customer service experience in the store while supporting Columbia Sportswear’s values to enhance customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Accurately execute visual merchandising directives, create compelling visual displays, and implement signage and promotional directives to enhance customer experiences and contribute to store profitability.
• Support the customer experience by ensuring product and sizes are accessible and available (replenish stock to the sales floor as needed) and maintaining organization and cleanliness of fixtures and signage areas.
• Interact with consumers on the sales floor and provide exceptional customer service by responding to questions or issues regarding product features, benefits, and availability.

Requirements

• No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
• 2 years (or less) experience in a similar position or specialization.
• Skill operating a Point of Sales (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone.
• Frequently in an active environment requiring constant movement, adjusting/moving items weighing up to 40 lbs., and occasional use of specialized equipment.
• Ability to clearly communicate with others.
• Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and in response to business trends or forecasts.
