Visual Inspector - API 510/570/653
About the Role
Acuren is currently recruiting for API 510/570/653 certified professionals for operations in Cincinnati, OH. This is a callout/travel position, requiring up to 75% travel throughout Cincinnati and surrounding areas, including environments such as Corn/Agricultural, Petro-Chem, Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Gas Plants, Refineries, Pipelines, and Pharmaceuticals. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for qualified applicants.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) at the direction of the client.
- Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition to the client.
- Provide technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment to ensure safe operation within specified parameters.
- Offer technical input on welding and metallurgical issues as required.
- Provide technical guidance on the application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
- Fully comply with all Acuren and client safe work practices and actively participate in site safety initiatives.
- Be willing to travel as needed.
Requirements
- Certification in American Petroleum Institute Standards API 510/570/653.
- 2 – 5 years of experience, including 2+ years of on-site experience.
- In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570/653 and ASME standards.
- Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers.
