About the Role

Acuren is seeking an API Inspector to support operations in Alaska. As part of this role, you will perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure-retaining equipment in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure-retaining equipment at the direction of the client, adhering to API and ASME standards.
  • Submit technically accurate reports to the client documenting equipment condition.
  • Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment to ensure safe operation within stated parameters for durations specified by the client.
  • Offer technical input on welding and metallurgical issues as required by the client.
  • Provide technical guidance on the application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
  • Fully comply with all Acuren and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel if needed.

Requirements

  • Certification in American Petroleum Institute Standards 510/570.
  • 5–10 years of experience or 2+ years of on-site experience.
  • Additional API 653 or CWI certification is a plus.
  • In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.
  • Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers.
