Visual Communication Manager
About the role
We seek a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of layout and typography, as well as user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles and will be responsible for designing user-friendly, visually appealing digital experiences that align with the Amalgamated Bank brand.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and user needs
- Work from agreed upon creative briefs with other colleagues
- Create templates, conceptual mockups and website layouts
- Create engaging digital graphics, animations, and video content optimized for social media platforms, ensuring strong visual storytelling and alignment with brand standards
- Design visually engaging, responsive email templates and campaigns that align with brand standards and optimize user experience across devices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in web design, graphic design
- 2-4 years proven work experience as a digital designer
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines, working well in both a team environment and independently
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud design applications (with emphasis on Final Cut Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, Express)
- Knowledge of HTML or CSS preferred
Qualifications
The starting base salary for this role is between $70,000 – $80,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.

Schedule
This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, the contact center, branch service roles, and general services where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely.
