Visual Assistant

Location: KITH Chicago | Status: Full-time | Compensation: $19–20/hr

About the role

The Visual Assistant supports the store’s Visual Merchandiser by assisting in product imagery and presentation. They ensure the store meets all brand standards and partner with managers to drive business through visual merchandising. The role includes educating the store team on product knowledge and the brand’s visual standards.

Responsibilities

• Maximize store space and layout based on SKU management.
• Conceptualize fresh visual ideas.
• Assist the Visual Merchandiser in daily/weekly floor moves.
• Merchandise windows, installations, and releases.
• Prepare daily arrivals of new/replenishment product and upcoming releases.
• Ensure all displays are sale-floor ready and properly positioned.
• Communicate visual needs/opportunities with the Visual Merchandiser and Store Management.
• Execute weekly floor moves as directed.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks (dusting, sweeping, trash collection, etc.).
• Support cycle counts, physical inventories, or other inventory tasks.
• Travel to support other stores as required.

Requirements

• Open and flexible availability, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• 6+ months in a visual merchandising role.
• 6+ months of retail/apparel experience.
• 6+ months in a customer-facing role.

Skills

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects efficiently.
• Strong communication and delegation skills.
• Ability to lift and move 25 lbs.
• Comfortable with bending, twisting, climbing ladders/step stools, and standing/walking for prolonged periods.
• Keen eye for detail and quick learner.
• Open to feedback and goal-oriented.
