Visual Arts Merchandise, Senior

Primary Responsibilities

• Aid in fulfilling the visual display needs of all Merchandise business units.
• Design, install, and maintain store signage and graphics.
• Create visual displays using carpentry and craftsmanship skills.
• Install display fixtures, displays, or props as required at Merchandise locations.
• Maintain visual displays, including overhead displays, display cases, and windows.
• Support store set-ups and remerchandising according to corporate and department standards.
• Minimize loss of company property and merchandise through diligent efforts.
• Monitor merchandise levels and report inventory needs to leadership.
• Participate in physical inventory counts.
• Ensure assigned areas are kept clean, including emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and interacting with guests, answering questions, and resolving issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements And Competencies

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma required.
• Three years of visual merchandising experience.
• Basic carpentry skills, including painting, building, and repairs, and fixture and prop assembly.
• Visual merchandising skills, such as knowledge of fixtures and signage requirements, to ensure brand messaging and maximize profitability.
• Successful implementation and execution of seasonal and specific planograms.
• Inventory management skills.
• Able to climb ladders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional guest service skills.
• Able to stand for entire shift.
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable performing cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals.
• Comfortable working around fumes, dust, and odors.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Able to move freely around work areas.
• Available to work varying shifts, including openings, mid-shifts, and closings; nights, weekends, and holidays.

Desired Qualifications

• Possession of a valid state driver's license preferred.
• Proficiency in graphic design and print production using Adobe Creative Suite.
