Visual Art Teacher
About the role
Sand Creek High School is seeking a Licensed Art Teacher to join our dynamic team starting July 28, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Teach visual arts courses aligned with state standards
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum goals
- Assess student progress through various methods and provide feedback
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies into the classroom
- Mentor and guide students in their artistic development
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices
- Participate in professional development opportunities
Requirements
- BA/BS from an accredited college or university
- Valid Colorado teaching license endorsed in Visual Arts
- Experience teaching visual arts at the high school level
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
- Passion for teaching and working with teenagers
Skills
- Proficiency in using digital tools for art instruction

Pay
The minimum starting pay is $50,500/year and the maximum salary is $101,999/year. Initial pay placement is dependent on level of formal education and years of relevant experience.
Schedule
182 contracted work days per year.

Job Description: High School Teacher
This position requires a BA/BS from an accredited college or university, a valid Colorado teaching license endorsed in Visual Arts, and experience teaching visual arts at the high school level. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and a passion for teaching and working with teenagers are also required.
