Visitor Service Representative

About the role

The Ducks Unlimited Waterfowling Heritage Center (WHC) is seeking a part-time Visitor Services Representative to work at Bass Pro Shops in the Pyramid, Memphis, TN. This role is part of a team dedicated to delivering an outstanding experience for museum visitors. The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible, and personable, with strong communication skills, the ability to think quickly, and a professional demeanor and appearance. The position requires positively representing Ducks Unlimited, Inc.—the continent’s leader in waterfowl and wetlands conservation—and a willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional experience to all museum visitors
• Greet and assist all groups visiting the WHC
• Help open and close the museum
• Represent Ducks Unlimited and the museum positively
• Maintain clean and presentable galleries
• Provide guided tours of the WHC
• Assist with educational programs and events

Desired Qualities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in an unpredictable environment
• Experience working with visitors of all ages
• Confidence speaking in front of large groups
• Interest in and knowledge of waterfowl, waterfowl hunting, and conservation (a plus)
