About the Role

The Zheng laboratory in the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated Visiting Research Scientist to join our team. Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, and cancer biology.
  • Utilize techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, Western blotting, and animal models of disease.
  • Collaborate with team members to advance research projects and meet project milestones.
  • Prepare and present research findings at lab meetings, seminars, and conferences.
  • Assist in the preparation of manuscripts, grant proposals, and progress reports.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and documentation.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, or a related field.
  • Strong background in molecular and cellular biology techniques.
  • Experience with animal models, particularly in cancer research, is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of scientific productivity, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, flow cytometry, and confocal microscopy.
